Product Liability
 The news media often talk about "product liability".
Product liability is the legal title for cases where people are
injured by dangerous and defective products, such as consumer
products, pharmaceuticals, automobiles and other vehicles, machinery
and equipment in the workplace, and medical devices. Some people
believe that race driver, Dale Earnhardt, was killed as a result of
a defective seatbelt in his race car. This is an example of a
"product liability" case.
